Some Questions You May Ask When Looking For Screen Capture Software

The online world is just catching up with the times. With almost every home and business computer having internet access, the need for screen capture software has grown.

One question that comes up often is why there are so many screen capture programs to choose from. Here are some of the things you may ask when searching for capture software.

This option has the most history of any one needed. It was originally developed by Microsoft. Screen capture is done by pressing either the “Print Screen” button or the “Printers” button on your main toolbar. It then allows you to take a picture of whatever is on your screen when your cursor points at something.

This can come in very handy, for example, to record a tutorial for a project. You can see everything the person is doing on their screen, and can then step back and watch it.

capture

edia

This is an older version of the CaptureSys program. It has been designed to work on earlier computers without causing any trouble.

It still does the same things in that it only captures the information on the screen.

Screen capture

bogus

This kind of fake software was a huge problem in versions of Windows earlier than XP.

You can find some versions of this software online, but be careful before you use them. I remember them once downloading a version that attached itself to my computer to do all kinds of things. The virus spread itself around the internet, and I had to remove it.

It also spread through email and instant messages, and installed itself on my computer. While it looked real, it was so annoying.

It also started a fake registry cleaner program. It told my computer had many viruses and needed to be cleaned, and I had to buy a cleaning tool. It even said my computer would be fixed after I purchased it. I had to end up buying a key logger program to find out I couldn’t uninstall it.

Later on, my computer crashed again. I was very careful for these two years until I bought my current computer.

What I found was I had two pieces of software on my computer. I compared them to my license key, and it seemed to click together. I thought it may have been worth it. Besides, it was saving me so many trees back in 1999 when my computer started to slow down and would freeze.

Of course, I couldn’t get any money online. That was years ago. But I still kept getting strange messages and pop-ups telling me my computer was infected and I needed to buy their software…even though I already had Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware on my computer.

Finally, I think I finally got sick of it. I found Anti-Virus Elite 4.7.2. But I couldn’t believe it! This thing amazed the heck out of me. Instead of scanning for viruses, it actually found enough to put me to sleep.

It explained how to run the program, and it even showed me how fake my subscription was to steal my personal information. I remember thinking to myself, ‘This is so Anti-Virus doesn’t mean anything’.

Unknowingly, it had also started to spy on me, and for a few weeks it collected data from each button I clicked on. It would unlock when I inserted a USB key, log me into my bank account, or send that data to somebody.

It would later explain that this was part of their marketing plan, but I’m pretty sure they knew I would find out sooner or later. Once I started gettingmails from it, telling me to scan my computer or uninstall it, I did begin to wonder a little.

I couldn’t figure it out. All of this information, how to make music, how to set up new software, it seemed so random. If I ever looked into it closer, I’d find my details were there, and even the crazy crazy effects with the wallpaper.

Finally, I was able to discover what it all was. Anti-Virus Elite 4.7.2 offered a file checker, and it also had some nice features. For one, it got a cut down on boot time. If your computer takes a long time to boot, it defeats the purpose of having an anti-virus software.

It also introduced a new feature called ‘Load Before gameplay’, this feature combined with the ‘Physical Memory Dump’ that can happen when your computer boots, had a lot to do with the cut down on boot time.

However, as nice as it was, it did have a few problems.
